What type of bearings are being used in Aerospace applications?

July 25, 2016 By Mike Santora

Timken-aerospace-postBearing Tips.com caught up with Dave Rose, business manager at Timken’s Keene, NH aerospace plant to ask him what are the most popular bearing styles for the aerospace industry. Here is what he had to say:

“The most common bearings that we are selling today into the Aerospace market are:

-Precision matched bearing assemblies which are tapered roller bearings used in Rotorcraft engines

-Tapered roller bearings for Airplane landing wheels

– A combination of split ball and roller bearings used in a variety of engine, gear box and auxiliary power units.”
