These 6 extreme photos prove bearings are cooler than you think.

1. Bigger is not always better. This ball bearing from Minebea is a precision bearing used in small medical devices. For some perspective, the probe dwarfing the bearing in this picture is a mechanical pencil. The second photo is of the bearing on a grain of rice.
