What is an oil storage station?

July 23, 2018 By Mike Santora

SKF-oil-station-imageDid you know that approximately 50% of all premature bearing failures come from poor lubrication and contamination?  These issues can be addressed through preventative maintenance and attention to detail.

During storage, maintenance, and transfer, lubricant can easily become contaminated. Once contaminated, a lubricant can do serious damage to a bearing leading to reduced longevity and increased risk of catastrophic bearing failure.

An oil storage station is an integrated solution designed to minimize the chances for lubricating oils to get cross-contaminated or contaminated during storage and transfer. It is a customized solution helping to help ensure clean, organized, safe and reliable lubricant identification, storage and transfer.
