What industries are changing bearing design?

April 11, 2017 By Mike Santora

berg logoIndustry growth, in areas like medical, semiconductor and electronics, is pushing overall design engineering into the future. Bearing design specifically, is no exception. Bearing manufacturers realize that to remain competitive they must listen to how their customers are responding to industry demands. Ken Traub, Director of Sales for Berg, says Aerospace/Defense is of particular interest at the moment.

“From our experience, Aerospace/Defense and Medical are two industries that have been requesting higher precision power transmission components. These requirements are coming with greater frequency as the applications get smaller, yet require precision in finding a location and holding the system there.”
