Roller bearing pillow blocks

February 29, 2016 By Mike Santora

Lee-linear-pillowblock-imageRoller Bearing Pillow Blocks from LEE Linear are truly free-rolling. The design of the patented Roller Bearing Pillow Block incorporates a larger “rolling” diameter than conventional linear ball bearing pillow blocks. The larger rolling diameter enables the bearing to operate at significantly higher speeds and acceleration. Constructed with an aluminum body and black oxided rollers, this bearing has no plastic parts to melt or wear out. As an added feature, the Roller Bearing Pillow Block is the only linear bearing that is rebuildable.
Roller Bearing Pillow Block Types:

Single Pillow Blocks
For standard linear movement or severe shaft deflection movement, use self-aligning LEE Linear Single Pillow Blocks.

Shaft Diameter: 1/2–3″
Dynamic Load Rating: 400–6,260 lbs
Weight: 0.400–14.000 lbs

Metric

Shaft Diameter: 16–30 mm
Dynamic Load Rating: 500–1,400 lbs
Weight: 0.500–2.000 lbs

Double Pillow Blocks
When longer travel life, or an increase in load capacity is required, LEE Linear’s Double Pillow Blocks are a suitable choice. They offer double the capacity of the single pillow block.
Product Range

Shaft Diameter: 1/2–3″
Dynamic Load Rating: 800–12,500 lbs
Weight: 0.500–20.000 lbs

Metric

Shaft Diameter: 16–30 mm
Dynamic Load Rating: 1,000–2,800 lbs
Weight: 0.700–3.000 lbs

Twin Pillow Blocks
Though they have the same load rating as the Double Pillow Block, Twin Pillow Blocks are useful for applications with cantilever loads or movements.

Shaft Diameter: 1/2–2″
Dynamic Load Rating: 800–4,800 lbs
Weight: 0.800–12.400 lbs

Metric

Shaft Diameter: 16–30 mm
Dynamic Load Rating: 1,000–2,800 lbs
Weight: 1.000–4.400 lbs

Roller Bearing Pillow Block Options:

Top Grease Fitting — to achieve full bearing life in contaminated environments
Rebuild Kits — contain all the parts required for a complete bearing rebuild
Scraper Option — reduces accumulation
Floating Option — for non-parallel shafting and aligning long shafts
